I don’t know why maybe to see if I was lying that I didnt eat it? regardless when he saw that a peice was missing he said he couldn’t take it back and I explained to him that I had already spoken to the owners on the phone about it and that I had received the wrong roll and I knew this by trying a piece… He proceeded to call the owners and talk to them in Japanese or Chinese… he got off the phone looked at me and said «fine I take back your roll here’s your other roll don’t call us again for food.» REALLY DON’T CALL US AGAIN FOR FOOD? UM I’M SORRY YOU WERE THE ONE THAT MESSED UP MY ORDER!!! wrong !! DON’T WORRY BUDDY I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM YOU AGAIN… to add insult to injury, I called my credit card to see if they had taken off the sushi roll because the owner said that they would. I ordered sushi from them once they brought me the wrong thing I called them and told them they brought me the wrong thing and they came back to get it… now the only way I realized it was the wrong order was that I took a bite of the sushi… it had eel in it and I absolutely am disgusted by eel … so needless to say the delivery guy comes back to get the sushi I didn’t want. I call back again to let them know bc at this point I was mad and the guy actually had the nerve to say « OK can’t you just eat it? What do you want me to do about it?» UM how about bring me a new roll & the salad that you guys RUDE.
THEN I go to open my box & find my cali roll DRENCHED in teriyaki sauce that spilled over from the chicken, the roll was totally falling apart & inedible.
I called back to let them know about their mistake & the guy who answered the phone said « OK so next time you order we’ll give you an extra salad.» -.- I didn’t want to make the delivery guy drive from 2 towns over just for a side salad so I didn’t argue. Our order came & not only did they not include the salad but they forfeit the rice also. on one occasion I had ordered the lunch special bento box, requesting an extra salad instead of the rice and they told me it was no problem over the phone. The customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Considering they’re the only sushi place near my job that delivers, we don’t have much of a choice but to order from Yama when we have a sushi craving.
All other Japanese places taste WAY too ginger-y). their ginger dressing is the only one I actually enjoy.
